THE CONCEPT OF THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPLEX WAS THE WINNER OF THE INVESTMENT COMPETITION

The project of the multifunctional complex is unique for Ukraine – for the first time a building was designed that can be transformed into a number of events, from sports competitions and concerts to public events and circus performances. The arena will accommodate 4,500 to 8,000 spectators, depending on the type of event. The largest multimedia screen in Ukraine is placed on the facade, and unique cable elements are used in the roof construction. The image of the arena in the evening is formed by dynamic artistic lighting. In 2017, the project won the investment competition of the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to Vitalii Klitschko, Kyiv has a huge need for a modern multifunctional arena, because the Palace of Sports does not meet modern requirements.

“During the Eurovision Song Contest, we especially felt the urgent need of a city of four million in such an arena. Transformers are a magnet that attracts sports and cultural events to the city. Therefore, I am extremely glad that investors will help the capital to get such an important infrastructure facility and provide an opportunity to create several hundred new jobs,” – said Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko to the official information portal.
