WEEK REVIEW

New objects and interesting collaborations became the main events of this week.

– One of the main events in the construction market – Building & Construction Forum 2.0. – took place last week.

The event, organized by the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine and the URE Club, brought together market experts, politicians, civil servants, developers and architects.

At the Forum the AVG Group was represented by Design Director Victoria Zapara and Head of Creative Department Iegor Samoilenko.

In a panel discussion on modern architecture, world experience and changes brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, Iegor Samoilenko shared his predictions about the development of the real estate market and warned colleagues and forum participants against apocalyptic predictions:

“In my opinion, there is no need to despair and panic, predicting total changes in people’s lifestyles. History is cyclical, and it is worth remembering that even after much more severe epidemics, humanity has always returned to its normal way of life. For us, architects and developers, this is a chance to turn our cities into comfortable environments. Instead of building overcrowded fenced ghettos without social functions, we need to build multifunctional facilities with public spaces”.

– This week our partners from the Creative Art Group started the installation of navigation on Concordia Club Apartment! In the project from Obrii Development, the AVG Group acted as the general designer, working out everything down to the smallest detail. This includes the interior design of common areas and the navigation project.

– At the invitation of «Дом и интерьер», Design Director Victoria Zapara and architect-designer Olena Prokopenko took part in a master class on “Architecture from the time of Michelangelo, a look into the future.” Using materials from the Renaissance epoch, together with children they created models of modern architecture. Thanks to history and practical classes, children better learn history and understand the main principles of architecture and art of the late Renaissance.

Oleksandr Maksimov, Chief Architect of the AVG Group and a member of the jury of the student competition Steel Freedom, will speak at the award ceremony of the finalists, which will take place in late November in Kyiv, with the title “Renovation and construction of the historic part of the city.”

By the way, the AVG Group has announced a special prize for the team that will show a creative approach in carrying out the task of the competition. This year, the team that will impress our architects and designers the most will receive virtual reality glasses – Oculus Rift S!
